Psalms 19:7-11 - The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.  Moreover, by them Thy servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward.

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any twoedged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit , of both joints
and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

These passages from both Testaments give us a glimpse into God’s amazing Word. His word is powerful, it touches our spirits and hearts; it’s much more than just another influential tome, it truly is unique. Thanks to Ron Gray for the “favorite scriptures” theme for this issue. This overall theme has given several brothers and sisters in the congregation the opportunity to share their thoughts about their favorite scripture.
